Build your own Tides! 
 
This event will take place on Sunday, October 21st 2018 and will begin at 12:00 PM and run until 7PM or until everyone is done.
 
For $120 you will receive all the components required to build a Mutable Tides module, all tools, and guidance from experienced builders and manufacturers to ensure success. At the end of the workshop, you will take home your very own Tides module!
 
The build process will be streamlined by using a solder stencil to apply solder paste to all pads. Each workshop attendee will place components using tweezers, and the entire PCB will baked in a temperature-controlled reflow oven. Next step will be to inspect solder points and fix any errors. After that, the power header will be soldered on and the module will be flashed. At this point, all that is left are through-hole components like jacks, pots, switches, and LEDs. At all steps in the build process you can ask for assistance and we can even do an inspection before baking to make sure your build will be successful.
 
This is the first of many workshops at CCTV, and we're trying a small-group format - only 4 seats are available. We want to see what the limit is for number of builders at once, and we don't want to reduce the enjoyment of the workshop by cramming too many people in.
